I met Tom and Margaret Stacey while working for New York Institute of Technology at its Nanjing, China campus in the summer of 2008. We were all involved in an intensive English Language program there and became very good friends. I was impressed with their kindness, generosity and professionalism from the very start. Over the years we remained in close contact even though our geographical locations to each other were not always convenient. Never the less, we got together as often as possible and shared great times when we did meet. Now that Tom is no longer with us, a deep void has been left behind. However, being a devout Christian, I believe that Tom is now with our Lord and no longer suffers the pain and misery that he experienced over the past several months.
As Tom is no longer physically with us, I ask the Lord to bring comfort to his devoted wife, Margaret, his family members and his friends. One day with the Lord's Blessing, we will all meet Tom and those who have passed before us again.
