I feel very fortunate to have had Trudy as my mother-in-law. She was always so loving and welcoming to me. Although Trudy was my mother-in-law, she was also my friend. From the day I met her in the 1970’s, Trudy and I began a 50 year friendship. We would have marathon chats and it seemed as though we never ran out of things to talk about. I am so grateful for all those conversations.
Trudy was a special person with a big heart. She had a great personality and a positive attitude. We had a lot of fun times and plenty of laughs. I’m really going to miss my mother-in-law and dear friend.
I love you Trudy!

Most people would say they have a "love-hate" relationship with their mother in law. Not me! I never once thought of Trudy without a smile on my face! She always knew when she was overstepping her bounds and always afforded us privacy in our relationship. I loved her for that. From the very beginning of my relationship with Susan, she always made me feel welcome and that I was a member of the family!
There is one mistake in her obituary. I took her on her first motorcycle ride in 1978! In fact I can remember her exact words! They were "OOW OOW OOW!"
Rest in peace Mom. I loved you!

My not so fondest memory but my funniest one is when we shared Thanksgiving dinner each year, alternating between the Killeen home in East Norwich and our home in Teaneck, NJ. When it was the year for East Norwich, we all dreaded it for one reason...Aunt Trudy made us eat sweet potatoes! Ugh! I remember always coughing into my napkin and letting all the sweet potatoes out. I actually practiced it! We got away with it too! Whew! My Aunt Trudy was a sweet person and I'm so glad I got to see her last September. May she rest in peace.

Condolences to the family. Trudy was always up for an adventure. Come out the door with her walker, and kick up like a rockette to get into the sidecar for a ride. Always good for a smile. Will miss her
