We just wanted to say how sorry we were to hear of the passing away of Jo's mother. We could only have known Theresa through her son Jo whom we have met in New York over 30 years ago. Dear Shirley and Joe,girls, Knowing Theresa is at peace with her husband and mom is such a comfort and she went with the grace and dignity that she lived her life by.She was always such a proper lady in her dresses and quite, kind manner.I loved having her share Christmas with us and having her homemade cookies.The memories of her will always be fond ones.

It was just over twenty years ago that Ed took me to your Mom's apartment for dinner and, of course, everyone's approval.
I had so much fun that afternoon as the girls tried on my shoes and we discussed
popular TV shows.
Theresa was a warm and welcoming hostess.
You all made me feel like a member of the Freni family.
I also remember how happy Theresa was at our wedding, something that she discussed with my Mom.
Ed and I will always cherish such memories and think of her every time we enjoy some deviled ham appetizers which I call "Theresa's canapes."

Joe, I was very glad that we could be with you on this sad day. We have spent many happy times together so it is only fair and just to share the difficult times also. Besides your Mom's great holiday cookies and the fact that she wanted to come to my house that cold Easter Sunday of long ago for my roast pork, there is another reason she hold a special place in my heart. She gave birth to you, Joe, the love of my sister's life. You have been kind and generous and loving to my sister and gave her two beautiful daughters. PLEASE, take care of yourself so that you can continue. Shirley, you are a very kind and loving daughter-in-law to the very end. You set a good example. With much love.

Joe, awfully sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Glad it was peaceful.
Have lots of good memories of Easter's Past, back in Fresh Meadows, when your Mom and Dad would set out a home-made feast. Your daughters were adorable little girls then and their parents a handsome couple. (OK, so maybe my memory is slipping a little!)
