Dear Tracy and family, I'd like to begin by offering you my deepest condolences on the unexpected passing of your father. Although I didn't know your dad that well, I came to realize his great kindness and compassion towards his friends/family and will always remember his warm smile and welcoming words when I would visit your home. You were truly fortunate to have a man such as your father in your life. I do know that he was very highly respected throughout the Bayville community and they, as well as your family, will miss him terribly. But there is also one other element of this world that will miss him and one I always remember him to be very close to ... the WATER. I came across the following poem written by Henry Van Dyke that I feel beautifully describes the relationship your father had with her ... A Parable of Immortality I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, " There she goes! " Gone where? Gone from my sight . . . that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, " There she goes! " there are other eyes watching her coming . . . and other voices ready to take up the glad shout . . . " Here she comes! " ~Henry Van Dyke

Tracy and family, Words alone cannot express our sympathy on the untimely death of your father. I was truly saddened to hear of your loss and would like to express my sincerest condolences to you and your family. To say that his time with us was far too short is an understatement. The reality is that he will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him. It is obvious that you were very fortunate to have Warren as your father and role model as you grew into the adults you are today. Warren’s impact on all of your lives have made you into such compassionate and caring people. No doubt the outpouring of sympathy you have received since his parting has been of some consolation. Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to you of how well-loved and liked your Dad was. Sadly, Bayville will not be the same without him. Growing up with you Warren, you where always bigger then life, strong,filled with Goodness through all the struggles that life presented. A brther I looked up too. You appeared to my eyes to be invinsible.I believed that you would live forever. I loved and respected you deeply. A family man like no other, the ones you loved where held close to your heart and new they had a most special freind and loved one in there lives. I celebrate your life and all you accomplished, not in riches but in love. I was lucky enough to have known your Dad, Brig. He was such a wonderful Dad to you Jon and Tracy and a wonderful grandfather. And he was really good to look at too.. I first met Warren at the Marina,but i really did not become friendly with him til i started going to a local place called Fisherman's Reef.We had Many good times there. When he first thought i should bartend thier i thought he was out of his mind.He showed me how to bartend and when i made a mistake he corrected me with that smile he always had explained to me how to do it the right way again. I will miss him dearly my heart goes out to his family and friends.

When I first came from Georgia in 1962 to work at the Pig-N-Whistle, Warren was one of the first friends that I made. He was the most sincere and funny person that I have ever known. We had so much fun working together st the Pig-n-Whistle. Throughout the years, Warren has remained a dear friend. Whenever I saw him, he would give me the biggest smile & you knew you were special to him. He knew how to treat his friends -- everyone loved Warren. It was such a shock to everyone that knew him, once we heard that he had passed. I will miss seeing him drive by in his truck and waving or never will I go by the Bridge Marine without looking to see Warren. Every year, I would wait for him to light the Christmas lights on the sailboat at the boat yard. I would go out of my way to drive down Perry Ave. this past Christmas to take a look at the beautiful decorations at his house. May he rest in peace. JoAnne Senecal
