Obituary of Bertha Reese

Reese, Bertha - on Apr. 26, 2009, age 86, of Oyster Bay NY. Beloved wife of the late Lonnie O. Cherished daughter of the late Kate Furrell. Godmother of Jacqueline Francis. She will be missed by her extended family Kenneth and Ethel Wright. Bertha relocated to Oyster Bay from Dadeville, Alabama in the early 1950's. It was then that she moved her membership to Mt. Olive Baptist Church under Christian Experience. She was an active member of Floral Ways and Means Ministry and the Culinary Committee. Visiting was held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Wednesday April 29, 2009 with funeral services immediately following. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Oyster Bay Funeral Home.
