Millicent Mary Stewart (nee Williams) was born on May 9, 1932 in the family compound on Carl's Hill in Oyster Bay, New York. She was the oldest child of five children born to the late Milton Augustine Williams, Sr. and Iris Agnes Carl. When Millicent's mother Iris passed away suddenly, while she was very young, she and her siblings were raised by her grandparents with the help of her dearly beloved Uncle Tom and Aunt Leila. Millicent loved life on Carls Hill due in part to the beautiful gardens, the extensive grounds, the nearby woods, the various fruit trees and the Concord grape vines but what she loved most was the community of family at the compound. Millicent attended Saint Dominics School in Oyster Bay. In 1962, Millicent married a local Oyster Bay man Joseph Arthur Stewart. The couple made their home in Oyster Bay until Arthurs untimely death in 1971. Millicent devoted her life to raising her three children and her grandson Jayson. All during her life, Millicent was blessed with the love and support of her Uncle Tom who assisted her with raising her family. Millicent was a hard working, generous, and honest woman for her entire life. She became a valued and respected member of numerous families in Oyster Bay by providing domestic assistance. These families were devastated when Millicent decided to leave their employ, move to Bay Shore, and take a job at Dzus Fasteners. Millicent is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph A. Stewart Sr., her brothers Milton Williams Jr., Arthur Williams, and Sterling Williams. She is survived by and leaves to mourn her daughter, Iris Williams, son Joseph Stewart, son Clayton Stewart and his wife Ingrid, grandson, Jayson Townsend, grandson Jarrett Davis and his wife Courtney, grandson Joseph Stewart Jr., granddaughter, Mary McPherson, granddaughter Ashley Goldin, grandson Joshua Stewart and great-grandson Sean Davis, her brother Earl Williams, her sister Imogene Hicks, her sister-in-law Helen Williams, her sister-in-law Helen Williams, her sister-in-law Martha Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
