It's been a year. Not a day goes by that I think of you and pray for you. You've left a such a void in my life and everyone who knew you and loved you, I went to a grievence group and I found them to be very helpful. They gave me a poem which was inspired by an Eskimo Legend. I hope that anyone who reads it will find some comfort. PERHAPS They are not the stars but rather openings in HEAVEN WHERE the love of our lost ones pours through AND SHINES down upon us TO let us know that THEY ARE HAPPY

Hello Anthony it is Dad
Let me try again as my first message did not go through. Your mother and I went to the cemetery today. It was very hard. Whole I was there I talked to you about some of the things we did. Every day I talk to you. I love and miss you very much. Daniella and Jake are growing up. Whenever you buy something for Jake he always says what about Daniella. The same thing Daniella says about Jake.You would be very proud of them.

I was looking for co-ops in Glen Oaks for a customer..and so many memories of you and I came flooding back. Before we could drive we would walk all over Glen Oaks, then when we could drive we would meet at the Oval. Then all those fun times at Larry's apartment. Next we had apartments there and we lived across the street from each other. I can't believe you are not here. Not one day ever goes by where I don't think of you. I love you so much!!!

I visited here a week after the fundraiser and I could not write anything. I felt as numb as the first day I heard. Anyway everyone had fun at the fundraiser bowling and swapping stories about a special memory they had with you. I could stand next to certain people and go back to a time we shared together with them. It seemed like yesterday. I wish the last time I saw you I hugged you tighter. I love you always. Happy Fathers Day in Heaven.

My sweet Anthony,
I can not stop thinking about you. Memories of you keep filling my heart and mind. I remember summer's at your house, swimming, watching you work out, you showing me pictures of vacations with your friends. (Pictures I should of not been looking at). I remember how much you loved frogs. One summer when we were visiting Grandma at her house in Toms River you collected an entire bucket of frogs. You told me you were going to throw them at me, I screamed, you smiled. We had so much fun that day! Whenever you walked in a room it lit up. You were always smiling! I will miss all these memoriesand so many others.......I love you so much Anthony ~
Aunt Pat and Uncle Tony ~
You are such a wonderful Aunt and Uncle. I am so grateful to have you in my life. Please know that I am here for you. May sweet memories of Anthony give you strength. Anthony has touched so many people. While reading all the thoughts, you realize how many people truly loved him. I love you always~
Debbie ~ My sweet Debbie, as Grandma says..."You truly are an angel". You are such a wonderful, unselfish person. Although you did not always agree (as most siblings do), you have always loved Anthony. You were always there for him even through his most difficult times. You have loved Barbara as a sister, and have loved and cared for Daniella and Jake. I love you Debbie ~
Barbara ~
You are such a beautiful person. Whenever Anthony looked at you, you could see how much he loved you. Please know how much I love you and will always be here for you. One thing I learned, is when you lose someone they will always be with you. Anthony will always be with you, Daniella and Jake. I love you Barbara. ~

I just found out about your webpage.
I know I didn't get to see you very often, but I always looked for you at family parties - and I was always a little bummed when you weren't there. I always tell people that when I was a kid -I thought you were the coolest person I knew. But I guess now that I never stopped feeling that way.
B/c of you - I cannot drink grape soda. I talked to Caroline yesterday, and I finally learned why it is bad luck. This has been going on for years - decades even!
B/c of you - KISS Alive was the first album I ever bought. What 7 year old likes KISS??? But you liked them - and that was enough for me.
B/c of you - I cannot look at a bottle of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup without laughing...
I remember you convinced me and Andrew to go down to the creek across the street from our house and wade into the water up to our necks. I was so scared, I ran home crying and you got in trouble. And you didn't get mad at me.
I remember watching you play Space Invaders in complete awe.
I remember the pictures you had on your bedroom wall - a comment on Disco and another one of King Kong holding a girl saying a bad word. You would get me to read the words out loud and then laugh like crazy - b/c I didn't know I was cursing.
I remember going up to Lake Carmel and you would dive in the lake with your socks on. Ok, I didn't think that was cool - but whenever sea weed wraps around my legs, I see the wisdom in it.
It hurts a lot to know that we don't have you anymore - that we can't look forward to seeing you.
I love you and I miss you.

Happy Birthday Anthony. I've been thinking about you all day today. I can't help but feel that our cousin, Heather, sent me a present on your birthday. She sent a picture from Gina's wedding of you, me and James enjoying a good laugh. That's always how I will remember you. I have always thought that it was more than a coincidence that Daniella and I share the same birthday and my first son's brithday comes only 4 days after your birthday. I can't think of a better way to remember you than when I am lighting a candle on my son's birthday cake and, then again, while watching Daniella blow out the candles on her birthday cake. I know you will always be with us. I miss you very much. Love, Jack Michael

Jack & Erin D'Angelo posted a condolence
My family's thoughts and prayers are with Barbara, Daniella, Jake, Uncle Tony and Aunt Pat, and Debbie and Armando during this trying time and we will always be there to support you. Anthony's spirit will be in our hearts forever. I relish the fact that I will see his smile and hear his laugh in the faces and sounds of his children. I will carry my memories of Anthony with me always and, in an effort to share some of those simple memories with everyone again, I leave a copy of my eulogy.
Anthony’s Eulogy-
First of all, I would just like to thank everyone for coming today because in times like these it takes all of us to help hold each other up and remember the best of times.
Many of us will remember Anthony best for his engaging charm, his infectious smile, the mischievous glint he would get in his eye when he was into something he shouldn’t be, his fierce competitiveness, his stubborn determination to defy the odds, his loyalty and dedication to his family and friends, and, most of all, his love and affection for Barbara, Daniella, and Jake.
For me, this is one of the most difficult days of my life because I didn’t just lose my cousin this week, I lost someone that I have always considered to be my older brother. But as difficult as this day is for me, I will always consider myself lucky to have been his younger brother for almost 39 years. We shared so much over the years. At any given time, Anthony was my best friend, my fearless leader, my teacher, my protector, as well as my inspiration.
Over the past few days, a flood of memories have flashed in and out of my mind.
I can’t help but remember certain moments when we were younger:
-how we used to beg our parents to sleep over each other’s house every weekend;
-how we drove Uncle Tony crazy by playing stoop-ball on the front stoop of the house constantly slamming the ball off of his front door and trampling all over his lawn;
-how Aunt Pat used to drive us in the Mustang to Robert Moses or Jones Beach almost every sunny summer morning;
-how Anthony once convinced me to drink strawberry scented shampoo because he claimed it tasted like strawberries;
-how we shared our first Rheingold Beer together in the woods at my parents’ Lake Carmel house and then, of course, had a contest to see who could pee the farthest;
-how Anthony was one of the greatest bowlers and handball players I have ever seen;
-how much Anthony loved football and the Minnesota Vikings; and most of all
-how much fun all the cousins had together at Christmas time.
As most of you know, Anthony was always at the center of the action at any party. Whether the party was a family event or an unsanctioned party with his friends in his parent’s basement or backyard, he was always the first one to toast the occasion or dive naked into the pool. He always had a way of bringing family and friends together.
Some of my memories of Anthony scared me to the core such as when he was severely burned while working on his car and when we found out that he had cancer. But even then Anthony had a way of turning the negative into a lesson of positive-thinking and mind over matter. I learned what true determination meant when Anthony chose to undergo unbelievably painful treatments to avoid skin grafts and maintain full mobility of his hands. I was further inspired when I watched Anthony (with the love and strength provided by Barbara and his family) conquer his fears, endure chemotherapy and ultimately defeat cancer.
But one of my most distinct memories is the night Anthony and Barbara met and how the rest of his life began that night. Anthony always had a million things going on at once, but after he met Barbara it was as if everything came into focus for him and the next thing I can remember is standing in front of all of you toasting Anthony and Barbara at their wedding. Although Anthony’s life took shape upon meeting Barbara, it was the arrival of Daniella that gave him new purpose. I never saw Anthony so happy and at peace as when Daniella was born and then again when Jake joined the family. Anthony’s greatest pride was his children and his face lit up whenever they were together or whenever we discussed them. One of my biggest regrets will be that he will not be here with me to watch our children grow older together and become as close as we were. But if I have learned anything from Anthony over the years, it is that family means everything and I know that he will sleep well knowing that we are all here for his family.

In Memory of Anthony J. Geraci
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you,
and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand,
and said my place was ready, in Heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind, all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye,
for all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for, so much yet to do,
it seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday, just even for awhile,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized, that this could never be,
for emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you Barbara , Daniella , Jake , Mom , Dad ,Debra And all my Family & Friends
and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me, from His great golden throne,
He said, "This is Eternity, all I've promised you".
Today your life on Earth is past, but here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
and since each day's the same day, there's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful, so trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things, you knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven and now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand and share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I'm right here,
in your heart.
Barbara We Will Always Be Here For You. Love Always David & Patty Yamashita

My thoughts and prayers are with family on this tragic occassion. I remember him fondly but since my move to Ohio lost touch with him and his family. The last time I did see him, which was few years ago, I thought what a nice young man he had become, and so handsome as usual.
My very sincere condolences to all,

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear. Death leaves a heartache NO ONE CAN HEAL, LOVE LEAVES A MEMORY NO ONE CAN STEAL! I am not on any social media sites,and not the type to write on websites but I just heard this terrible news, and my hand was forced to reach out. Anthony was always a gentleman, amazing athlete, especially football, and unbeaten at handball. I remember him taking me to Jones beach in his Dad's convertible 1960's mustang, So many great memories of him. I took a ceramics class on my block, in Kay's basement with his Mom and Aunt Bunny when I was younger, I was friends with his cousin Caroline, I would luv to see her. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, what a terrible loss!
