It's impossible to make sense of a loss so profound. We pray that time will ease the burden of your pain and emptiness and that Anthony's memory will forever live in the hearts and minds of all who loved him. -The McEvoy Family

Anthony was mature beyond his years. He was a beautiful artist with gentle hands. Recently we spent some time together soon after his return from Lourdes. He told me about his journey and I felt a sense of peace in his words. What a gift he has given us all. He will be missed but not forgotten. I know I have someone pure in spirit to pray to everyday.
I thank God I had the opportunity to know him and his beautiful family.

Anthony really impressed me with his love and dedication towards Cub Scouts. Even in the midst of his illness, treatments, and schedules, it was important to him and to his family to complete the religious awards program and in spite of it all, earned his Parvuli Dei. We can all learn something from Anthony and the Petrovic family.
God Bless you. Tricia, Les, Matthew, and Andrew Gillen

I could search the dictionaries of the world for the right and proper words, and I know that I would never find them. No mere words can adequately express the weight in our hearts that is the focus of our deepest sorrow and concern. What we will do for Anthony now is remember him with love. We will see him, not in person, but in our minds and memories on the playground where he ran and played and laughed with his friends; we will see him in our minds and hearts in the halls and classrooms where he learned and grew and was such an important part of us.
We will keep that memory of Anthony alive in our hearts and minds; we will keep our love of him ever fresh, ever new; we will continue to see him with the eyes of memory, and we will cherish that memory as something very special-something very special indeed.
I will forever remember and love Anthony.

And at the same time,
Memories of you.

and burn out
But my love will always stay

I never had the pleasure of meeting Anthony but a good friend of mine just told me an amazing story about an amazing child. My friend Nikola Lekic told me how Anthony was a wonderful artist, musician, inventor, and person. He described in great detail a painting of a sail boat and skiff sailing in front of an elaborate landscape that Anthony created that would rival most professional artists' works. Nikola told me how Anthony would play a tune on the piano after simply listening to his sister play or listening to a jingle on the television. Even though I do not know Anthony, I do know that he's watching all the people he loves from a cloud up above. My prayers are with your family.

Hey Anthony (hey Anthony) aaAAAaa!
Remember that phase you went through where you would repeat everything you said in a whisper and talk to yourself? Or when I tried to convince you that we changed your name to "Bob" and you cried for like a week? Or how about that time you made me walk around the house dragging you on my feet because you were just bored? Those were the good days.
What can I even say? The English language is failing me; no words could ever truly define what I wish I could say.
You were an incredible kid, and my biggest regret is not letting you know that more often. An amazing artist and musician, I look up to you, because you are my hero and my inspiration.
You were (and still are) the strongest person I know, and you were always so full of life and joy. You knew how to appreciate the things that I (and most others) overlooked. You taught me how to live my life, love everyday and everyone. You made me realize that it really doesn't matter what anybody thinks: be yourself, do your thing, and just go for it.
I couldn't be more thankful that I knew you, taking naps, making mac&cheese, watching movies and spongebob, chasing dixie around, doing everything together. And although I feel that I may have taken most of that time for granted, I will cherish every memory that I have of you for the rest of my life.
Stay strong, kiddo, and watch over me and everybody else, we still need you!
Make your heavenly music in heaven with Demott, and I will join you soon enough.
I love you and miss you tons.
take these broken wings and learn to fly,
all your life,
you were only waiting for this moment to be free.
rest in peace, my little buddy<3

Dear Petrovic family, I was blessed to have spent a year with Anthony as his second grade teacher. Anthony's spirit and love of school were insurmountable. Anthony came into our classroom each and every morning smiling and cheerful with boundless energy! He brought gifts of art and song to our class, but most of all was his compassion toward others. Children and adults alike can learn from Anthony's acceptance and kindheartedness. He was an angel sent to my class long ago, and forever, he's an angel to us all. Anthony's physical body is no longer here, but his spirit lives on in our hearts.

Dear Anthony,
It's hard to put into words the incredible impact you've had on me these last few months. YOu've taught me that life isn't about complaining about what we don't have, but enjoying what we do and the people around us that make life worth living. You showed me that through example....through your courage and your humor....your ability to look passed your woes.... You taught me that a 9 year old can teach a 29 year old more valuable lessons about life than I could ever teach you......If there's one thing I regret, it's not telling you that you were the most talented kid I ever taught, and I've taught some really talented kids. Also, I let you beat me at Stratego.....but we can play that rematch in the future. Hope you're ready! I'll miss your high fives in the hallway, but I won't stop giving them out for you. You have my word. I'll talk to you soon buddy...

I am so blessed to have had Anthony in my fourth grade class. He touched all of our lives and made them better just by being with us. His classmates and I will always remember his love of science and discovery, his artistic talents, and especially, his silly giggle that made everyone around him laugh too! We will miss him every day. He will always be our hero and our special angel.

Anthony was an active, loving little boy in my kindergarten class. He had energy to spare and a bouncing personality I remember him frequently asking with his adorable little accent, “Am I a gooda boy today?” He would ask that question when this liveliness became a classroom concern. In fact, I spoke about Anthony so much to my own family that that phrase lives on with my two adult sons.
When he graduated to first grade, he would often run down the hallway and pop his little head in my room with exuberant greetings and news of his life. Once he came to me in the library and whispered, “You know, Mrs. Sass, I’ll never forget you!” He was so sweet and I loved him very much. Well, Anthony Petrovic, I’ll never forget you. You’ll always be my “gooda” boy!

I am so sorry for your loss.Anthony was such a great child.
I work at Theodore Roosevelt School as an aide and and cafeteria monitor.
During luchtime he would always draw pictures. He was so talented. In kindergarten he would draw BATMAN AND THE BATMOBILE. I always told him what a good artist he was.
I had the pleasure of watching him grow up from kindergarten to second grade. He had a great sense of humor too.
Last year I ran into him in Stop and Shop and he remembered me.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.Terry Mc Donald

To Anthony's family- No words can express my sympathy or sorrow. He was obviously a special young man. I met Anthony only about 2 months ago in Stop & Shop when I was with my husband ("Mr. Bill", from the Boys and Girls Club). Bill always spoke about Anthony and especially how talented an artist he was. I lost my mother, tragically 3 weeks ago, but I can only believe that all of my pain is a fraction of what your family feels. My prayers are with you in this most difficult time.

Anthony, you were truly a gift to all of us. You touched so many with your kindness, care, and brilliance. You were the best Godson a family could have asked for; in fact, you were so good that God wants you to be with him in Paradise more than with us here on this cruel Earth. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." --Psalm 116:15. That's exactly what you are, a saint. We love you Anthony, we love you like you could not believe. Please keep watch over Olivera, Simo, Maria, Nick, and everyone else whose lives you've touched. We will all see you soon.
