Nana, you are my inspiration. Your strength and compassion is amazing. Even during your final moments you displayed these qualities. In spite of all that you were facing the first thing you wanted to know was that the family is ok. You shared you strength with all of the family, we have all been touched by you in our own way. Forever will we carry on a piece of you in our hearts and we will pass on all that you have taught us to each new generation. I will be strong with the knowledge that you are looking over us. I am eternally grateful to you and love you always, Daniel.

My very dear Mother-In-Law, you always treated me as your own Daughter. I have many good memories from the time I married your wonderful Son, Charles, through the very end of your days. I've always admired your strength and wit. You had a fast answer whenever a question was asked. Mom, you were a great inspiration in so many ways. You taught me to cook and care for my baby girl, Rhea, under your loving guidance while residing in Oyster Bay. I've always said that I want to be strong like you. Mom, I will miss you more than words can express. Love you always Emma

Rhea posted a condolence
My Dearest Nana,
The strongest woman I have ever known, lived to see your families fifth generation, beat cancer three times, & still had all your faculties & wit till the very end. You have always been an idle and mentor to me and many. We have always said “I want to be just like Nana”. I cherish all the times we have spent together. Just last summer, we had a great time, cooking out & watching your grands, great grands & great great grands play. Seeing you laugh & smile was always great. The expressions on your face could say so much. I shared your frustration when you were not able to speak clearly, & we couldn’t always make out what you were saying. I shared your pain & did everything I could to help comfort you. I knew in the last week that you were tired and could bare no more. I heard you say, you just wanted to go home, your face told me just what you ment. As much as I wanted you to be with us forever, I knew I could not be selfish and have you suffer any longer. My heart hurts to let you go but I know its Gods wish for you to be with the other half of our family & we will be back together someday. You already know I love you more than anything. I am glad you are no longer in pain. I know you will always be looking over us & you will always be in my heart.
I Love You My Nana
Your Grand Daughter
