Obituary of Peter Aliani
Aliani, Peter V. – on Sep. 17, 2024, age 84, of East Norwich, NY. Peter was the only son of Filomena and Peter Aliani. He was born in New York City, but as a child much preferred life on Long Island where he visited his aunt frequently. After he graduated high school, he worked as a bank teller. Eventually he found his way to Trans Canada Airlines (currently Air Canada), where he met his wife. He began his career as a telephone customer service agent and worked his way up to Airport Manager. He retired after 42 years with the company and then launched a second career with the Town of Oyster Bay as a Public safety officer. He was a volunteer in the Baptism Ministry at St. Dominic's R.C. Church as well as at Glen Cove Hospital for over 15 years.
He also enjoyed volunteering at Horseability, an equestrian therapeutic organization. He wrapped his life around his family and friends. Peter was predeceased by his infant daughter Danielle who passed away at birth. He leaves behind his wife of over fifty-nine years, Eileen, two daughters, Michele and Maureen, son-in-law Joseph Segretto, two granddaughters, Zoe and Samantha who were the light of his life. He is also survived my many cousins and friends.
