So many memories with Hal. We started a law partnership in the early 80's. Seems like yesterday, two young lawyers trying to figure it out. What a bright guy.

My Dad gave us an amazing childhood and was a shining example of fatherhood, I try to do the same with my kids. He was "Pop Pop" to Rose and Jane, They had great experiences with him that we will always cherish. I am grateful for the years he was able to get to know my wife and kids. He was generous and would help anyone who needed it with no questions asked. He was incredibly smart and strong minded.
I was thinking about the time when I was around 10 years old, we were on vacation in Lake George. I never went on a rollercoaster and begged him to go on the Screamin' Demon at Six Flags. We both got off the rollercoaster and couldn't walk, felt dizzy for about 20 minutes, we just kept laughing.
Dad will be missed, rest in peace.
I take comfort in Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want;
2 he makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;
3 he restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff,
they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup overflows.
6 Surely[e] goodness and mercy[f] shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever

Let me tell you a secret, about a fathers love
A secret that my daddy said was just between us
He said daddies dont just love their children every now and then
It's a love without end, amen, its a love without end, amen

If you knew Hal, you know he was fiercely bright and extremely amusing. But I bet you didn't know he could walk on water. Years ago, when he and I worked together we went to our NJ office for a meeting. It was January and the office parking lot was like a skating rink from an ice storm the previous night. While I tiptoed along with great trepidation, trying to reach the front door without falling, Hal strode along, oblivious to the peril. He made it just fine, thus proving that insofar as ice is simply another form of water, he could (in my opinion) walk on water. I will miss him greatly.
