In Loving Memory of John F Bozzomo
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John F Bozzomo, Sr.
John was born on October 30th in New York City. From an early age, he displayed a strong sense of ambition and joined the United States Navy, where he pursued his career as an aeronautical electrician. After serving his country, he embarked on a successful 37-year career with IBM, which included spending several years in Tokyo and traveling the Asia-Pacific region with his wife, Kathleen.
Retirement allowed John to fully embrace his passions. He obtained his private pilot license and enjoyed flying along the East Coast of the United States. Even in retirement, John's dedication to service remained unwavering. He generously offered his skills and time to the community. John was an active member of his church, faithfully serving as an usher every Sunday. In his condo community, on Singer Island, Florida, where he resided for over 20 years, John was a pillar of support, always ready to lend a helping hand to his neighbors.
John had a sharp sense of humor and a witty personality that endeared him to many. His vibrant presence lit up any room, and his love for the ocean was evident as he gazed out from the 18th floor of his condo, cherishing the breathtaking view.
John is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen M (Vanderwaag) Bozzomo. Kathleen and John had 5 children , Laureen Fleck (Christopher). the late John F. Bozzomo Jr. (Kim), Kathleen Johnson (Robert), James Bozzomo (Catherine), and Colleen Jollie (Edward), as well as his cherished grandchildren, numbering 12, and his adored great-grandchildren, numbering 6. Beloved brother to Robert E Bozzomo (Winifred) and Theresa Muckey ( Floyd).John departed this world on Monday, June 12th, at the age of 88, leaving behind a legacy of love and remarkable achievements.His influence on his family will be cherished and celebrated for generations to come. John's impact on their lives is immeasurable, as he shared his wisdom and teachings with them throughout the years, instilling in them his remarkable personality.
While John's passing leaves an irreplaceable void, his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. Let us mourn his loss while also celebrating the incredible life he lived and the profound impact he had on the lives of countless individuals.
John F Bozzomo, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May your soul rest in eternal peace, and may your spirit continue to inspire us all.
