On behalf also of my mother Anne, now nearing 103 years of age, deep condolences. We loved Eileen, who brought my cousin Len so many years of happiness and appreciation and a loving family. We are grateful for having remained in contact by phone and snail mail in recent weeks. Eileen remained lively, fun, and sensitive all her long generous life.
Sincerely,
Anne and (son) Jesse Ausubel

The day I met, Eileen, (Mrs Mohr) over 56 years ago, I was so fascinated by her easy going fun-loving welcoming nature. When I was a young teenager up until the last time I saw her a few weeks ago, Eileen always made every effort to make you feel like part of the family. She and her husband Len were always that way. They were very kind and generous people that loved the arts and the people around them. I am so happy to have been a part of this group of people in my lifetime. The memories of Eileen shall live on! -With love, Danny and Martha

I met Eileen more than 30 years ago, when we went to Rome with the chorale for the first time. My sister and I were there with my Mom, and Eileen and my Mom hit it off immediately. Sadly, I lost my Mom not long after that trip, and something in Eileen always reminded me of my own Mom, They both had an amazing way of voicing what everyone else was thinking; a quality that I loved in both of them. Eileen was so generous in spirit and action. She was the chorale's biggest fan. She would always give us a standing ovation, regardless of what the rest of the audience was doing, and would be mad if the others did not follow.
The loss of Eileen will leave a big hole, not only in the lives of her family, but in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

My favorite memory of Eileen happened in Italy 30 years ago while the chorale was traveling and singing through the country.
We were on an awkward tour of a cathedral in Assisi with a rather stern priest as a tour guide. Eileen was lagging a bit behind and chatting (probably with my mom) . We were up on the roof being shown the view when Eileen burst through the door and shouted “ Is this where they keep the swimming pool”.
Eileen’s sense of humor could diffuse any awkward situation- but it was also her unending generosity and love that made her one of my favorite people.
I lost my mom 30 years ago, and Eileen was like my “choir mom”. She was always there with open arms, something I came to rely on. She was always so wonderful to me and my family. I will never forget.
Eileen, I will miss you terribly- the world just isn’t the same.

Eileen was a true benefactor to this family we call the Glenn Mohr Chorale. More than that she took on the mantle of being the mother to us all, and was always concerned with what we were up to, how is my son, what's going on at work and how's the new house. One of the most generous, if not the most generous people I have ever met. Opening her home to everyone involved in her life and her family's life. It was always wonderful after a show going up to Eileen and without hesitation telling us and me how amazing the performance was during that particular show. If Eileen could, she would be wearing a cheerleader outfit with pom-poms in hand. We will miss you Eileen. Rest in peace. Attached is a photo of Eileen in Rome with Glenn in a hearty discussion.

What a special blessing, incredible mom and lovely woman!
May you always live life from that challenging yet rewarding place of unconditional love and support and faith. Treasure each other, your relationships, and time remembering and time creating moments that warm your heart and radiate joy for others as they get to know your mom a little more each time through you - helped along with the stories, pictures, experiences, special people and of course, the music celebrating and honoring her life.
With heartfelt sympathy, love and prayers, Chris C
Thank you Eileen for sharing your smile, warmth-and your son:) with all of us. May you now be in a place of eternal joy with choirs of heavenly angels singing ...maybe you'll even find a way to send new heavenly inspiration to us.

Aunt Eileen was the best! Always good for a great story & lots of laughs. Some of her great lines are…”if the shoe fits buy it in both colors” and “if it fits God wanted me to have it” so buy it. She will be greatly missed. Love, Cathy

My love and condolences to all. Eileen was a very unique woman, especially for those in the Chorale, all of whom she made "family". Her smile was present at every performance, her encouragement continuous, her home open to all of us at any time. Her friendship and kindness were unceasing. The more than 40 years I have known Eileen seem very brief somehow. Eileen and Len were very kind and consoling to me at the illness and passing of my mother. I know she will find peace and joy with all her family and friends in the world beyond fear, worry and tears. As for those of us in the world here, Eileen will never be forgotten. With love and sympathy, Diane (H. C.)

Eileen was a beautiful person, inside and out. Lovely, funny, loyal, generous and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. I have wonderful memories of our trips to Rome with Eileen, Len, Glenn, and the Chorale. She added so much levity to the trips. I never thought of her as Glenn’s mother but as a friend who I will now miss.
