Bill and I used to be friends when we attended St. Martin's grade school. I remember going to his house on Powell Ave after school sometimes. I haven't been in touch with him since we left St. Martin's in 1967, but I remember him well as a good friend.

To Louise and family, I want to say how sorry I am. I'm in disbelief hearing the news. I only found out yesterday. He was just lovely. He had such a gentle way about him, even when he was holding a needle in front of my face! I appreciate how he could turn back time a bit for me. I trusted him totally. Louise, it was so clear how close you both were. Your love and relationship was pallitable, and so easy to see. I am so, so sorry. Life is not always fair. We are broken hearted by the loss of our dear friend Dr. William (Bill) Byrne, not only was he a neighbor, but he was also family to us. We had many good times and laughed for the more than 20-year friendship. Bill was a pillar in our small community, always there for anyone who needed help or advise or just good conversation, Bill was always there. Even our dog misty would go to his front door to see Bill and Louise. Bill, you were an incredible human being, we will never forget your kind heart. Heaven is waiting for you to fix a few things, yes heaven awaits this special man. All our love Bill, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers, Louise we will continue to build on Bills accomplishments, we are here for you each and every day. All our love Gina & Joe Oliver

Dr. Bill-although a doctor by trade was and always will be fondly remembered as an honorary member of the Tegan Window Cleaning Crew. Susan Cove will never be the same and I especially thank you for building the interior of the van so we no longer had to be subjected to Tom's driving while sitting on a Home Depot bucket!
