My deepest condolences to the Deda family. It has been an absolute honor meeting Anthony. I met Anthony at John Jay when we were both in Student Council. It was such a rough time for me, and Anthony’s light was something I truly needed. Anthony was such an incredible and sweet man! He showed me a side of him not many knew, and I am forever grateful for that. Mr. and Mrs. Deda, you have done a tremendous job. Thank you for blessing us with Anthony. I’m sending you all hugs and kisses.

I’ve been trying to find the words to express how sorry I am, and how heart broke I am at the news of your passing. I will cherish working along side you the short time we were able to work together and I will forever remember your personality and how we would joke about you being sent to Rankin, Texas all the way from NY. To his family thank y’all for sharing him with us Texas folks and for the great man y’all raised. I am heart broke for all of you. He earned his right to claim being a Texan. Rest easy brother, we’ve got the watch. -B. Morrow

Anthony, you will be greatly missed. You were one of the most kindest and knowledgeable people I knew. Your love and eagerness for learning was truly inspiring. I will cherish our talks about life and literature always. Your love of Teddy Roosevelt and Johnny Cash was just another thing that made you stand out. You will be missed dearly but heaven just gained another angel. Till we meet again Moose. To the Deda family, I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you strength during this hard time.

Anthony and I worked together at TJs, but it wasn’t until after he left that he and I got to know each other. Anthony was so well read and constantly interested in learning more. There was always a quote or guidance from the life of Teddy Roosevelt that Anthony would cite or reference. See you in your next life, brother.

We question God when a tragic event happens. We ask why? We sit alone, trying to decipher how can this be? We will never know. But we do know that Anthony lives on through our hearts and our memories. His sweet soul embedded in all of us. His legacy lives on within all of us. Beautiful smile that made an imprint on my memory whenever his name would be brought up. I am so grateful God placed you in my life as my God brother. You are a divine diamond soul, rest in the empyrean.

Deda, was one of the best men I ever had the fortune to know. He touched many lives. It's a heavy hart to hear that a man who was always so happy to help, quick to teach, and intelligent left this world. I think many would agree that it was way before his time. Syotos my friend.

The ache in our hearts is indescribable. Randy and I aka Pa and Ma will forever hold our adopted trooper son in our hearts. One of Randy’s favorite memories was when you showed up at the RV park, meeting Garfelda, and learning her habits. You were passionate about learning how to be a West Texan and wanted Pa another misplaced New Yorker to show you the way. Our deepest condolences to the Deda family in your time of grief. I’ll Fight you I said before I Met “Big New York” on a Fire/Rescue call When he rolled out of that patrol unit I knew I was set up. Big New York laughing at me looking down and said “…k” that was his go to word he commonly used. He knew exactly who set me up. We introduced each other and what fun we had on I-10 and other calls. You will be Missed Big New York
May You Rest peaceful!!!
Keep all the wonderful memories close to your Heart ♥️

You are family bro and always will be. I love you Anthony! From the time I met you 10 years ago till now, we have had some great conversations and adventures around the world. You were a brother to me and we kept each other close. When I needed a laugh or a serious talk I’d run to you and I am glad you did the same to me, you came to me for answers or just to chill and talk, I gave you everything I had and wouldn’t change it one bit. You made an impact on me Anthony and I will forever be grateful for that, I will carry your honor and pride throughout my life as you would have. I enjoyed our late night talks in the barracks room and in my house, I will forever think of you my brother, and be there for your family the way I know you would be there for mine. I love you bro.

From Southwest Texas to Downtown Austin, everywhere I ever had the opportunity to run into Anthony, he was an amazing, kind man. I will always appreciate his conservative voice and genuine love for the United States. Every time, I saw Anthony he would share what book he was avidly reading. I believe he once shared his enthusiasm for Teddy Roosevelt, another great New Yorker. Anthony was the definition of Theodore Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena", and I hope that we can all live our lives a little more while "daring greatly" so that we are not one of the cold and timid souls who neither know victory or defeat". Deda family, please know that Anthony will be sorely missed by myself and many other Texas Troopers, who had the pleasure of working with him these past few years. May the Lord bless you, keep you, and make His face to shine upon you during this time of grief.
Sincerely,
Joe Osborne, Trooper V
