Since I have heard the news, I have been trying to sit and think to pay tribute, but I could not. I feel that I could write every day and still not render justice to one of the most refined human being I know. To date. Not in terms of sophistication, which he hated, but in terms of thinking process. He understood complex issues without being complicated. He had a wry sense of humor without ever being cynical. He taught me the nuances of American idioms listening to Howard stern and initiated me to the NY slang. He was my Google before google. He taught me how to be unapologetic about myself and my choices. We would go to the movies together but he liked to sit in the back, which I hated and I like to sit middle and centre. And yes, we would go in the same car watch the same movie and sit in two different spots in the theatre, come back together discuss, debate, argue and loved the experience all the same. Every single time. While tears are pouring down my cheeks as I am writing this, even though living abroad prevented me to see him much lately, he was a very important part of my life. I was extremely happy to have had the great privilege of calling him my friend. I never found someone who thought natural to go the movies and go sit where you prefer, without compromise. Sean did. He understood it. He embodied it. I will always love you for that. Mimi

I had the privilege of meeting Sean when he was a teenager. He was kind, smart and funny and he grew up to be all the same. He was my adopted American family, so much that we moved next door. My memories are inseparable from the great Christmases, parties, super bowl finals and so on that we shared together. We will love you always. Baya Boudjadja

Dear Sean, I would like to thank you for your generosity and for welcoming me during Christmas 2016, a time most devoted to families in the US, knowing that this was my first time in the US. I will cherish this memory forever as you were amongst the first real American I met. I thank you for all that and the time and great conversations we shared. It was short but very strong and I have very vivid memories of this great holiday together. Now, when I think of Americans, I think of you as an archetype and I believe that’s great. Rest in Peace. Fares Hamadou, Mimi's Husband.

Dear Sean,
No passage can even come close to expressing the gut wrenching and hollow pain of losing someone you love, have known your entire life, grew up playing hide ‘n seek, bowled with, debated with, spent holidays with, ate countless Sunday dinners with, could call for any computer or tech question, and took for granted would be traveling together a long parallel path as we navigated our time here on earth.
Grief is uniquely personal, and unfortunately life can disappoint, and things happen that aren’t expected and aren’t deserved.
Your journey here on earth was sincere and genuine. You led an unassuming life that was driven by integrity of conscience, an insatiable hunger for knowledge, wisdom beyond his years, and sharp wit.
“Many times what people need is not a brilliant mind that speaks, but a heart that listens.”
You understood this and lived your life with unmatched generosity of soul, mind, time and spirit.
Sean, you are greatly missed and will always be in my heart.
Until we meet again…Love you cuz

I was shocked and heartbroken at the news of Sean's passing. I had the honor and pleasure of getting to know Sean over a decade ago when I briefly stayed in NY with uncle Tommy. I looked forward to the weekend visits to Sean and Snookie's beautiful home, where I enjoyed delicious home cooked meals, a football game or two, and an opportunity to rekindle relationships with my father Buddy's east coast family. I am forever grateful for the love and welcoming embrace that I received there.
As a fellow computer guy, I felt a special kinship with Sean. Almost the same age, we were able to connect on both a personal and professional level as we traded stories about our nerdy goals and accomplishments. I recall him showing off the web pages he worked on, and the pride he took in his craft. He walked me through the process of starting an online business, which my sister Trish was interested in doing at the time. A few years later I returned to NY on vacation with my son, who had always wanted to see the Big Apple. Sean immediately hit if off with my son, and was happy to learn that they spelled their names the same. He shared his knowledge of the city and gave us lots of advice on what to sites to see, and where to get the best pizza.
My mom, Lynn, sisters Trish, Molly and Erin, and my son, Sean, are all deeply saddened by this untimely loss. Our hearts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. I will always look back with fond memories at the time I shared with Sean. He was a blessing.

My heart breaks with all of yours. I cannot express how deeply sorry I am at Sean's loss, and how much I will miss him. He was such an important part of my life, and my family's life. The example he gave through the way he lived his life has touched each of our minds and hearts and will forever be an influence on all of our lives. I want to take this opportunity to celebrate Sean. What a brilliant, talented, handsome, loving, incredibly thoughtful, giving and genuinely humble man he was. No one could be a better example of what it means to be a truly great son. Some of my fondest memories with Sean are of the time we spent together during the yearly Christmas Eve parties I attended ever since I was a toddler. Christmas will never be the same without his gentle warmth and witty sense of humor. Sean, we love you always.

Sean Chabrier was like an older son to my husband and me and a much-loved and admired brother to our children. There are many reasons that our son David chose Sean to be his godfather for Confirmation. Sean was the best example of what our faith teaches us to be - selfless, loving, fiercely loyal, caring, and compassionate, possessing absolute integrity, and totally unpretentious. He never bragged about himself, but he was incredibly smart and had a wonderfully wry sense of humor. Sean never wanted to be recognized for his quiet acts of kindness. In fact, he shunned the spotlight. Sean was extraordinarily gifted intellectually and, like his father, Augie, he was a life-long, in-depth learner with an insatiable curiosity about the world. He was nothing short of a walking encyclopedia in virtually any subject - science, history, politics, sports...Consequently, he was a go-to guy for all of us when we couldn´t find an answer to a question. Sean was a naturally gifted athlete, as well, but chose instead to live a quiet life and fill it with service to others, especially to his mother and father whom he loved deeply. For my husband and me and our children, Sean will always be a great man and his beautiful spirit will live in our hearts forever.

Sean Chabrier my dear nephew was someone special. Of all the many blessings it was one of the greatest to have had him for a nephew. He was brilliant but never showed it .His two nephews the sons of Brian loved to sit with him and he would explain to them ice hockey. His mother Snookie would often tell me how helpful he was to her and that made me feel so proud of him. Those special memories of him will always bring a smile. If only I could have him back even for a little while, then we could sit and talk again as we always do over the phone. I will always remember how much he would always tell me how much he loves me when we spoke. He had no doubt that I loved him too.
The fact that he is no longer here will always cause a pain, but will forever be in my heart.
You will be surely missed SEAN

I’m Bruce, Sean’s boss, turned into one of his best friends.
I saw or spoke to Sean almost every day and he truly became more than an employee.
I am receiving so many calls from my companies and customers expressing sorrow over Sean‘s passing. He developed so many interpersonal relationships with my customers and factories and their representatives who are all very upset and wish the family profound condolences.
Sean was so conscientious and such a pleasure to work with.
He made customers feel like friends, always so conscientious, caring, mild mannered. He was a testament to the word “gentleman”!
Sean’s devotion to Snookie spoke volumes of his character. All parents should have children like Sean!
Special thoughts also go out to his brother, sister-in-law and nephews especially Brandon.
I’ll never forget having to install blinds in Brandon’s room and seeing all the Ranger stuff and telling his mom I refused to do the job I can’t go in this room because I’m an Islander fan.
RIP Sean! Let’s go Rangers
