Will miss his stories and talking to him about animals, which he loved so much. Amazing man who lived life on his terms. He will be missed.

I remember Rick as a very caring man who cared about the world and the goodness it should bring. He cared about animals and took care of the ones who were homeless. We were good friends for many years and I learned a lot from him. He took care of his family and always did the right thing. Cathy

When I was a child, I used to think Rick was "Flash Gordon" the sci-fi hero of the 1950's. He resembled Buster Crabb in many ways and was quite handsome. But my favorite memory is driving around in his beautiful, flashy red Austin Healy with the custom hearts on the side. I was in the middle, my sister to the right and Rick driving. I remember him saying, "you always have to beep your horn going around a sharp turn so oncoming traffic can be made aware". Those Long Island country roads were narrow and winding. I will miss him as I am sure many others will feel the same. - Janice
