I worked with Robert, at Oxygen. He was a true professional. Congenial to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.

I worked with Robert at Lifetime and our friendship lasted beyond those years.
I always enjoyed our lunches and conversations we could simply be ourselves!
God Bless!

So shocked to hear the news of Rob's passing.
We worked together at Oxygen and it was great to reconnect with him through the CTO Club. Rob was smart, witty, and of course full of sarcasm. It was so great to work with him. My prayers go out to the family. You will be missed Rob.

Robert was a good friend. We worked together three times, at Oxygen Media in 2001, at AppNexus in 2016, and at Kariout in White Plains in 2018. We were also both members of the New York CTO Club, a tech networking group where Robert met and helped many of us.
At Kariout, we nicknamed Robert "The Ship Captain" as he ran our technology transformation project. He was a unique combination of affable, blue-collar, smart, snarky, and truth-teller. He often had the entire team in stitches at our round table meetings. He had a Yogi-Berra knack for coming up with funny sayings in difficult situations (one favorite "No kids table in team meetings"). Robert and I drove to Schenectady together often, where we talked family. I learned how devoted Robert was to his family, his parents, his brother, his wife, and two adult sons. Our most recent conversations centered on how he would support his family after he was gone, Robert was a giver to the end.

I had the good fortune of working with Robert for several years at both Oxygen Media and Lifetime Entertainment. He was one of the best bosses I ever had, he knew how to cut through the noise and focus on what really mattered. He approached life with a smile on his face and a funny joke for every occasion. He knew how to treat his team and create a fun work environment. I will miss him and am devastated to hear this news. Heart felt condolences to his family.

I haven't spoke to Rob in years, but he has had a profound impact on my life nonetheless.. He was the one who gave me my first management role many years ago. My life and the lives of my family have been better because of that opportunity I was given. I am saddened that his life was so short and my condolences go out to his family and friends who are mourning his loss!

I met Robert in 1998 at USA Networks, and had worked with him at three different companies. Robert was an amazing boss, mentor, and friend. Throughout the course of our friendship, I often found myself thinking about something hilarious he said, usually during a serious meeting, and cracking a smile, or sometimes laughing out loud. I will miss him deeply, and never forget him! Rest In Peace buddy!

I worked with Robert at Oxygen and reconnected with him more recently through the NY CTO Club. He was a unique character among the tech folks I've known. I'll never forget his grin -- a "tell" that some hilarious but incisive observation was about to come out of his mouth. He had an irreverent way of cutting through BS and getting at the heart of things. I'll miss him.
My condolences to the family he leaves behind.

As a newer member of the CTO Club of NYC, I didn't know Robert well, but I wanted you all to know that his influence extends beyond those with whom he worked directly. His way of leading and managing relationships will continue to positively influence me through the advice of others in the Club who did have the privilege of working with and for him. I'm so sorry for your loss, and the loss to our community.

Robert was a special man. When we worked together at CitationAir and Appnexus, we developed a routine of walking meetings. While we did get some work done, we talked much more about families, sons, and colonial history. Robert was a lovely family man, a caring dad, and a good colleague. A life well-lived. RIP my friend.

Robert Taylor literally saved my career in information technology when I was slated for layoff at Oxygen in 2001. He worked out a deal to have me stay on, allowed me to pursue a career in information security, and supported my training and certifications even though the budget was tight. I will always remember his sage guidance, his incredible sense of humor, and his unwavering support. Our most sincere thoughts and prayers go out to his family and everyone that called him a friend. We will all miss him dearly.

So sorry to hear about Robert's passing. Here was a gem of a person, always smiling. Still remember his hearty laughter. He used to often talk about his sons so affectionately. I remember how saddened he was at the passing of his long time pet dog. What a loving, caring gentleman. Gone too soon. May his soul rest in peace.
