I was blessed to work closely with Rita at the Department of Public Works from 1988 to 1993. She was a wonderful mentor and even better friend. My heart is sad to learn of her passing but I know she is in a better place and looking down over her loved ones and protecting them. God Bless you Kathy and God Bless her entire family. I only met Rita on a few occasions over the years. She always seemed fun, warm and very family oriented. I have a wonderful memory of her graciously including me in a family get together...I enjoyed her company...and delicious pasta sauce...and stuffed artichokes. She was a gifted cook!!
