My husband and I knew Mary since 1956 when we moved to Bayville.
She was one of my dearest and closest friends. Always so uplifting, happy and positive.
We would get together on Wednesday nights to play cards, went out to luncheons and attended fashion shows sponsored for St. Gertrude's Church.
Mary will be greatly missed.
She was/is one-of-a-kind... loving, energetic, caring and a helpful person to all.
My daughter, Kathy, endearingly called her Aunt Mary.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ryan Family at this trying time.
God Bless you Mary.

My memories of Mary are clouded because most of them took place between 55 and 65 yrs ago when I was a child. We would go to my grandmothers house on Montgomery pl in the Bronx and when she moved to Parkchester. Aunt Kate and my grandmother live in the same house I beliecve. Family gatherings were my best memories. The Ryan’s, the Sullivans, the Tally’s and the Butlers and so many more. I might be wrong but I think Mary was my Godmother. I remember her bright smile and her laughter. Whenever my father yelled at me which he did often Mary was always there to comfort me and to tell me everything would be alright. Her kindness will always be remembered. My family and I would like to offer our deep condolences to Mary’s family .

My deepest sympathies. Your mom was a strong woman; one dear memory was her telling me that “Irish women don’t stop moving and doing until God stops them!” I found that both, delightful and inspirational. Thank you, Mary Ryan— May God keep you in His Care, and now continually moving through Heaven to watch over your family as their guardian angel...Fondly, Lucinda Manzi.

The sky has finally opened to our dear Mrs.Ryan and I am sure that the red carpet has been rolled out for such an amazing women.....despite that she would hate the fuss. She was an incredible, devoted life-long friend to my mom and entire family for over fifty years and an inspiration to me throughout my life.
The entire community weeps for such a pure soul.
If everyone was half the person that Mary was and her memory will forever be, this world would be a much better place.
She will be forever missed, but her memories, long conversations, advice and life lessons will be cherished for eternity.
Love and friendship forever to her and her beautiful family,
Helen Finn-Siracusa
