Obituary of Elizabeth J. Fitzpatrick
Elizabeth (“Betty”) J. Fitzpatrick, of Bayville, NY, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 28, 2017, at the age of 83, succumbing to effects of Alzheimer’s Disease, which she had battled with grace and dignity for approximately 6 years. Betty leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Edward B. Fitzpatrick, Jr. (“Ed”); nine children: Katherine Donohue (James), Edward (III), Thomas (Laura), Terrence, Kelly, Nancy Talcott (Kelly), Daniel (Anne), Tara, and Brendan (Elizabeth); 22 grandchildren; and three (3) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Oyster Bay Funeral Home: 261 South Oyster Bay Road, Oyster Bay, NY 11771. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Church of St. Gertrude: 28 School St., Bayville, NY 11709.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth J. Fitzpatrick Scholarship, which provides assistance to undergraduate Civil Engineering students. There is a text box on the following page that will allow you to designate it in honor of Elizabeth J. Fitzpatrick and allocated towards the Elizabeth J. Fitzpatrick Scholarship.
