Marc Harris Bleefeld passed at the age of 69 in Las Vegas, NV. I grew up knowing Maxie, Bella, Sammy, Annette and Butchie (as Mark was called). They lived next store to my aunt Shirley and actually introduced my mother and stepfather.
I found Butchie in Las Vegas, NV this past May, 2018 after over 40 years, and found out that all the family had passed. I got to talk to him until his death September 28, 2018. We talked about childhood memories and how our lives had gone in such different directions.
I am so terribly sorry that I had not stayed in touch with the whole family and my condolences to Annette's family and Mark's daughters.

My life will never be the same, without the missing piece that Uncle Sam took with him many months ago.. I still think of him and all the valuable and precious memories I will have always locked away in my mind. It will be a year soon and I still feel like he is home, but his smile, laugh, and wisdom will always be cherished, as well as the most beautiful memories that will last a lifetime..

Dear Suzanne, Annette, Karen, Anthony, Jeffrey, and Michella:
I've been truly humbled by the tributes each of you gave me, in the planning of Sammy's funeral, and I'm overcome with vivid memories about Uncle Sam---just in reliving the discussions I had with each of you. I do meet with grieving families regularly, but after working with all of you, I came away with extraordinary feelings of an unconditional love that is too rarely seen in today's society. I hope I was able to capture the essence of Sammy's spirit, in the service I wrote for him. In truth, I came away with much more than I gave. May God continue to shadow each of you, as you make your way in the physical world without him.
