Obituary of Judith Mandrakos
Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
MANDRAKOS, Judith, of Manhattan, died peacefully in her home in Locust Valley on October 15, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Leo Mandrakos; sister of Elizabeth Attebery; aunt of Alexandra Gulden, Carolyn Laing, Elizabeth Mead and Michael Attebery; step-mother of Lisa Purdy and Mark Mandrakos; and grand-aunt of 7. A board member of the Professional Children's School in New York, Judith gave generously of her time and talents, graciously hosting fundraising dinners for the school at her New York apartment. She was also a longtime volunteer at St. Bartholomew Soup Kitchen in New York. An avid theatre-goer and bridge player, she enjoyed the friendship of many. A funeral Mass was held on October 18. Contributions may be sent to City Harvest of New York City or the Professional Children's School, for the purpose of tuition assistance.
